What are they?

Italian version

MA and MSc are high-quality specialisation and training courses which may be attended by graduate students who have completed a BA or a BSc course degree, or the so-called "Laurea Magistrale". Students who complete a Master Course Degree obtain a certificate of study from their university.

There are two types of training courses, and they are classed as level I and level II Master Course Degree courses.

In order to enrol for a Level I Master Course Degree applicants must have a Bachelors Degree - a BA or Bsc ("Laurea di base").
In order to enrol for a Level II Master Course Degree applicants must hold a Graduate Degree ("Laurea magistrale" or a "Laurea specialistica").
Admission to either course is open to graduate students who have completed a "Laurea Specialistica" as detailed in the Ministerial Decree no. 270 of 22nd October 2004, and those who hold a Bachelors' Degree ("Laurea di base") as per Ministerial Decree no. 509 of 3rd November 1999.

Structure and credit points

In order to be awarded a Master Course Degree students must complete 60 credit points in addition to those required for either their Bachelors' Degree (Laurea di Base) or their Graduate Degree "Laurea Magistrale".
The minimum duration of a Master Course Degree is 1 academic year.

Aims and career prospects

The Prospectus of each Master Course Degree is designed to meet the requirements of the local job market.
It is for this reason that all prospectuses are constantly updated, and courses may change from year to year, so as to address the professional demand specific to the context.

Through National and International academic partnerships the University can launch joint postgraduate course degrees, of the I and II level type.

Partnerships may also be established with non academic institutions, both public and private.
